How should one respond to a self hating person who says "why do u care so much about *insert issue*? It has never happened to u, in fact u were not even alive so why do u care about something that does not concern u?"

I would respond because this shit still has repercussions in this day and age! Or I would just say, “Because I’m a human being who cares about other human beings.”
